Meet
Captain John
Captain John’s passion for fishing runs deep, stemming from his upbringing in the Florida Keys. Born and raised in Key West, Captain John’s connection to the water began at birth. With a natural affinity for the sea, he transitioned from hobbyist fisherman to professional captain in 2008, eventually founding Fish Daily Charters in September 2018.
As a 5th generation Conch and 2nd generation firefighter, Captain John’s roots in Key West are as deep as his love for fishing. His extensive experience and local knowledge make him the ideal guide for your fishing adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to the sport, Captain John is dedicated to sharing his passion for fishing and ensuring an unforgettable experience for all.
Professional Qualifications and Equipment
Captain John holds a USCG Six-Pack Captain’s License and is certified in EMT, First-Aid, and CPR. He operates the “Heavy Hitter,” a custom 2015 34′ LOA Contender center console equipped with twin 300 Yamaha outboard engines, onboard Simrad radar, fishfinder, GPS, VHF radio, and 110 gallons of live well space. With top-of-the-line equipment and unparalleled local knowledge, Captain John guarantees a successful and safe fishing expedition.

Whether you’re targeting Amberjack, Cobia, Goliath Grouper, African Pompano, Sailfish, or Bull Shark, Captain John knows exactly where the fish bite. With 4, 6, and 8-hour charters available, you’ll have ample time to reel in your next trophy catch.
What to Expect
During your fishing excursion, Captain John will provide all necessary equipment, including licenses, rods, reels, lures, and tackle. He’ll even prepare live bait before the trip, ensuring a hassle-free experience for you. For longer trips, a first mate will be onboard to assist you with anything you need, from baiting hooks to cleaning and filleting your fish at the end of the day.
