Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our Key West fishing charters:

The price includes everything except a tip for the mate, which is a customary 15-20%.

Our boat is 34 feet LOA (Length Overall).

You can bring up to 6 anglers on your charter.

Yes, you can extend your trip if another trip has not been booked for that same day.

Certainly! We will cut the fish at the dock for no additional charge and can recommend a shipper for you.

No, it’s not legal for us to help you sell your catch. However, you can have your catch cooked at a local restaurant, ship it home, or give it away.

While we do our best, success ultimately depends on mother nature and wild ocean fish. We can’t guarantee fish, but it’s rare that we come back from fishing with no catch.

No, we do not have air conditioning. However, we have a canvas in the center of the boat to keep you shaded.

We are less than 2 miles away if you’re staying in Key West. Key West is a small island, approximately four miles long and two miles wide.

It typically takes 20-25 minutes to reach the fishing grounds.

The best time to fish depends on what you want to catch. Contact us to discuss your preferences and we’ll advise you on the best time. Please note that a 30% deposit is required to hold your charter date, and our reservation, cancellation, and weather policies apply.

A credit card is taken at the time of reservation, and a 20% deposit will be charged to hold your charter date. Cancellation fees apply based on the timeframe of your cancellation. Weather cancellations are subject to Captain John’s discretion, and alternative dates or full refunds will be provided.

We provide bait and tackle, ice and bottled water, fishing permits, and a cooler for food and beverages. If you need anything else for a great fishing trip, just ask!

You should bring polarized sunglasses, appropriate boating attire, a hat, sunscreen, food/snacks/beverages, and zip lock bags & coolers for your catch.
